Knauss Foods, a brand steeped in tradition since 1902, sought to revitalize their PJ's Jerky line through a packaging redesign and relaunch. The goal was to convey their established quality and heritage while ensuring the product stands out on crowded shelves.
The rebranding effort involved:
Classic Inspiration: The chosen direction leaned towards an "old-school" aesthetic, reminiscent of a traditional butcher's chalkboard. This approach aimed to evoke a sense of time-tested excellence.
Modern Touches: While maintaining a classic feel, the design incorporated a bold color scheme to ensure it would stand out on crowded shelves.
Competitive Analysis: To achieve maximum impact, I conducted a thorough analysis of competitor packaging, ensuring PJ's Jerky's design would grab attention and differentiate itself in the market.
